How I started
My husband and I have been together for 28 years. We have a 21-year-old son who started university in 2022. I was at a total loss about what to do with my time. I'm sure many mothers would understand how I felt, as I had waited hand and foot on our son for 21 years, and then suddenly, nothing. I was at a loss.
My husband suggested, 'Well, you're a good cook. Why not start a bakery of English/European pies, pasties, and microwavable meals?' I told him I knew nothing about baking English food. 'No problem,' he said. He comes from a family of bakers from Cornwall and Somerset in the South West of England, I'll teach you, he said.
I certainly cannot say I'm at a loss now. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of our customers who've supported me and tolerated my learning curve :)
Our Philosophy
You can enjoy our produce with confidence, as we have invested in FDA accreditation to demonstrate our commitment to food safety.
We strive to make our Cornish Style Pasties, Traditional Hot Pastry, and Hand Raised Pork Pies as authentic as can be, whilst taking meticulous care in hygiene throughout the baking and storage process. To this effect, we invested, worked and obtained Food and Drug Agency (FDA) accreditation to demonstrate our commitment to food safety.
